I like that. I can't see their little orange beaks in the small version but I like how they are. as it's not obtrusive, not quite hidden. Did you notice in one of the photos one was right up there by the gull? I wish the sea had been such to let us get down closer to photograph them or that I'd brought the 400mm lens. Your ocean sure shows the action of that sea.
The camera didn't pick up the red but I painted over the beaks twice to help make it so you barely see the beaks in the painting. Yes, on seeing that one of the pictures where the tide was up all the way the seagull and oystercatcher were standing close but the oystercatcher was straining to keep a little distace and still be sheltered by the rock.
