September painting inspiration on the Oregon Coast

Today it is raining hard and I am taking time to reflect on my husband's photos.
I'll put my paintings out in the dry of our motor coach to look at them more critically.

Love the photos!!!!

Sorry I haven't continued our excellent dialogue but life has a way of intruding. I have a bunch of questions for you but I'm committed to helping my Congressman get re-elected for now in addition to assorted other nonsense. Sigh.

I welcome your comments and hope you will someday draw and paint again. If you make a few lines while talking on the telephone, that is a beginning.

I've been wanting to continue our discussion, but life keeps intruding. And yes, I do want to try my hand at something artistic. I was thinking of starting with charcoal sketching. I've always thought it interesting how one could shade with it.
What do you think would work for a rookie like me?

I have not had much interest in charcoal. I have sweaty hands that make unwanted ugly wet spots on my paper. At this moment I am impressed with the watercolor black pencils. It has the capacity of being very dark. Also it is water soluble and is like black ink on wet paper. If you have charcoal already by all means use it. I have some and might try it again.
