Minimalist! Good for you :-) The trip sounds like pure magic.
You are more disciplined than I am. When I was on the sister ship the Maasdam all I did was play. I would guess that painting is play for you, just as photography is for me so I guess that's what you did, too.
Moving about very lightly made me feel light. Painting was like feeling I was alive and experiencing the avenue to great memories. The thing that became work was managing my photos which I am still remains unfinished.
