"First Light; Fir Trees" was painted before my husband made me pancakes for breakfast, just as the first light in the east was lighting up the frosty morning. When I went outside in the cold the song birds were perched on our apple trees and singing to me. I could also here the neighbors chickens and of course a dog barking as well. A fine day to think of new beginnings in the new year!
